The President specifically acknowledged the initiation of the projects in collaboration with the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank: a 200 million dollar project for developing medium-sized cities and a 130 million dollar project for improving the infrastructure in rural areas, during a meeting held in Samarkand.
He expressed confidence in the further expansion of such infrastructure projects with the bank and other partners.
“In the coming years, we will launch 18 gigawatts of solar and wind, 3 gigawatts of hydroelectric power stations, 5 gigawatts of energy storage capacities, and electric networks worth 5 billion dollars.
This initiative also aims to establish large “green” data centers. I believe this will become an attractive project for all international financial organizations,
Furthermore, I am confident that the annual 100 million dollars “green” certificates market formed through renewable energy sources will become a promising new direction for cooperation with international financial institutions.
It is worth noting that neighboring countries have also started significant projects in renewable energy sources. We are taking significant steps towards making Central Asia, a region rich in renewable energy resources, a major exporter of “green” energy to the world energy markets in the coming years. I want to highlight the great potential of the Trans-Caspian Electric Power Network project in this regard,”
- said the head of our state.
The President proposed the implementation of a program to develop “green” energy in Central Asia under the leadership of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank as per the suggestion.
