Based on foreign experience, attractive jewelry centers have been opened for both manufacturers and investors in Yakkasaray district, Andijan, and Khiva. This was reported by the Presidential press service.
Such centers are scheduled to be established across the entire republic.
Officials were tasked with launching another 6 centers this year, which will include raw materials, laboratory, training center, showroom, and shops all in one place, and to involve foreign designers and technologists to train jewelers.
“Let everyone hear this. Jewelers should not have any problems related to raw materials”,
- said the President.
For this purpose, the volume of gold to be issued on the exchange this year will be increased from 6 tons to 8 tons.
In Tashkent city, Andijan, and Khorezm, where new jewelry centers have been launched, and in Bukhara, Namangan, Samarkand, and Fergana regions, where such centers are planned to be opened this year, as well as in other regions, gold reserves will be created based on demand.
“Honestly, without discipline and a transparent system, it's impossible to make a “big leap”. After providing so many conditions, those who operate in the “shadows” will be subjected to the rule of law ensured”,
- said the President.
A strict control in the jewelry sector is to be established in cooperation with the Assay Inspection, Tax Committee, and the Prosecutor General's office.
Entrepreneurs are given one month to stamp and enter the jewelry items through the Assay Inspection.
Overall, officials are tasked with deeply analyzing the sector and developing a system that encourages all participants in the “raw material – manufacturing – trade” chain to operate out of the “shadows”.
The growth in population and the process of urbanization are increasing the demand for construction materials significantly.
Since the beginning of the year, contract works have grown by 10.3%. However, large quantities of ceramic tiles, drywall, glass, and basalt wool have accumulated in warehouses. Meanwhile, identical goods worth 225 million dollars are being imported annually.
A system prioritizing local construction materials for developers when allocating working capital loans will now be implemented.
Last year, inspections by the Construction Inspection revealed 1,600 cases of using substandard construction materials.
On this matter, a registry of construction materials companies and their products will be formed on the “Transparent Construction” platform. A rating of product quality will be maintained and updated quarterly.
New types of energy-efficient materials are appearing in construction. However, many products lack standards, and those that exist do not meet international requirements.
Officials are tasked with adopting 68 international standards by the end of the year.
During the meeting, reports from sector and regional leaders, as well as proposals from entrepreneurs, were heard.
