Today, on August 8, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held a telephone conversation with the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.

 

It was noted that bilateral and internationally significant urgent issues were discussed.

 

The President of Russia informed about the key outcomes of the negotiations held on August 6 in Moscow with the U.S. President's special envoy, Steven Whitcoff.

 

Practical aspects of further developing and strengthening Uzbekistan-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership and allied relations within the framework of implementing high-level agreements were also discussed.

 

Special attention was paid to adopting coordinated measures aimed at ensuring growth rates in mutual trade and investment indicators, accelerating cooperation projects in priority economic sectors, continuing productive interregional ties, business, and humanitarian exchanges.

 

The leaders of Uzbekistan and Russia also reviewed plans for upcoming meetings and events.
