In Turkey's Isparta city, Hayr Muhammad Rahimiy, a 29-year-old citizen of Afghanistan, strangled his ex-wife, 28-year-old Fatima Rahmoniy, in front of their four children—daughters aged 3, 6, 8, and 10. The incident occurred in the family home in the Iskender neighborhood late last night, as reported by zamon.uz.

According to preliminary information, although the couple had separated about a year ago, they recently began living together again. For unknown reasons, during an argument, Rahimiy strangled his ex-wife, leaving her motionless. Emergency medical personnel who arrived at the scene attempted to resuscitate Fatima Rahmoniy, but she died in the hospital.

The police apprehended Rahimiy at the scene. After giving his statement at the station, he was arrested by court order. The deceased's four children were taken under police protection and relocated to a safe place.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing. The local community has expressed strong outrage over the woman's death and domestic violence, while human rights advocates are calling for additional measures to ensure women's safety.
