According to Wall Street Journal sources, U.S. intelligence agencies, including the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), have not found any credible evidence regarding the accusations previously put forward by Russia. The publication emphasizes that since December 29, the Kremlin has been claiming that Ukraine organized drone attacks allegedly targeting Putin's headquarters, but no materials confirming these allegations have been presented.

On December 29, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Ukraine had attacked the headquarters in Valdai with 91 drones. Following this statement, a number of countries condemned Ukraine's actions, but despite several days passing, Russia did not disclose evidence proving the attack actually occurred.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called these accusations "Russia's next lie," indicating that Moscow is trying to use them as a pretext to launch new strikes against Kyiv.
