Individuals who attempted to deceive citizens and obtain their money under the pretext of organizing Umrah pilgrimages in Tashkent city and Kashkadarya region have been detained.
It is reported that several individuals in Uchtepa district of Tashkent city gained the trust of a citizen and informed him that for 4,900 US dollars they would prepare visa documents for a trip to Saudi Arabia for the "Umrah-2026" event. They were detained after taking an advance payment of 2,500 dollars as a deposit, having promised to send four citizens on the Umrah pilgrimage.
In the Guzar district of Kashkadarya region, a private airline ticket seller gained the trust of a citizen and told him that through his acquaintances he would send the citizen's mother-in-law on an Umrah pilgrimage for 12.2 million soums. He was caught at the moment he received 10 million soums.
Currently, pre-investigation checks are being conducted in accordance with the established procedure regarding these cases.
