US President Donald Trump called on Russia to stop the war in Ukraine within 50 days. Otherwise, he announced that Moscow's remaining trade partners would also face 100% secondary tariffs. This was reported by Zamon.uz.
"We reached agreements with Putin four times, but the truce was violated each time," Trump said during a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
Trump also announced that NATO would send modern weapons to Ukraine, including Patriot air defense systems. This agreement will include "thousands of weapons" and is expected to address Trump's previous complaints regarding aid to Ukraine.
However, the European Union's foreign policy chief, Kaja Kallas, criticized the 50-day deadline, stating, "This is a very long period when innocent people are dying every day."
Russia announced the capture of two villages in eastern Ukraine, and at least three civilians were killed as a result of airstrikes.
