Uzbekistan's first ambassador to Algeria (headquartered in Cairo), Mansurbek Kilichev, presented copies of his credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs of Algeria, Ahmed Attaf. This was reported by the "Dunyo" news agency.

It was noted that, along with assuming this position, he also continues to serve as Uzbekistan's ambassador to Egypt. Recently, he presented copies of his credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs of Algeria, Ahmed Attaf.

During the meeting, issues of expanding cooperation between the two countries were discussed. The parties noted that the current volume of trade and economic relations is below the existing potential.

The Algerian side emphasized that there are great opportunities for developing cooperation in areas such as mining, geology, pharmaceuticals, and textiles. Additionally, it was proposed to produce Uzbek textile products in Algeria and export them to African markets.

Furthermore, proposals were put forward to establish trading houses, warehouses, and showrooms, launch a business council, and activate the work of the intergovernmental commission.
