Turkey Wants to Start a Military Operation in Syria Ankara is making efforts towards taking the necessary measures against terrorist organizations, striving to resolve the issue by preparing for any scenario with Syria's new government. Ankara has held several talks with Ahmad al-Jarba, the head of Syria's transitional government, clearly stating its demands for the dissolution of PKK/YPG. The elimination of terrorists is planned in two phases. In the first phase, foreign terrorists in Syria are to leave the country. In the second phase, the entire leadership of YPG, including Syrian terrorists, must leave Syria. Syrians who are part of this must surrender their weapons and be integrated into the new system. While interested in the fulfillment of its demands, Turkey is preparing for any scenario. Military units on the border have been brought to a state of combat readiness. The Minister of National Defense, Yasar Guler, along with the Chief of General Staff and commanders, conducted control and inspection operations along the Syrian border. It is worth mentioning that Ankara protests the US's support of PKK/YPG under the guise of the "fight against ISIS". Turkey emphasizes its readiness to take control of the fight against ISIS under the new Syrian government and has announced its willingness to send its military forces if necessary. Currently, the Syrian National Army is also sending heavy weapons and fighters to the front lines against PKK/YPG. Combat readiness along all front lines has been raised to the highest level.
